Bastet Cats Statues - Black with Antique Gold Accents Medium 8"

This statue features the likeness of the Egyptian cat Goddess Bastet. It was handmade from polymer in Egypt. The cat goddess is seated on top of a base with a lotus flower or hieroglyphic design. This statue comes in a hieroglyphic box- perfect for gifting!   

This statue comes in black, antiqued golden black, and white. All statues are made out of polymer. The 5.5" and 8" statues are solid, the 12" statue is hollow. 

The goddess of plenty and joy, the cat Bastet represents the protective aspect of female power. Bastet is the daughter of Ra, the Sun God. She is aligned with the lioness and also represents the attributes of ferocious protection. Bastet is associated with the home and dancing. The Egyptians found cats fascinating, even regarding them as godlike. Because cats were deeply respected, they were often mummified and even buried in great tombs with their owners.
